Students (grades 1-12) Return on Tuesday, August 19 Kindergarten Orientation: August 19 - Teachers will contact parents about orientation and the first day of class. WV Universal PreK Orientation: August 22 & August 25 - Teachers will contact parents about orientation and the first day of class. 2025 – 2026 Calendar Highlights August 19 First Day for Students September 1 Labor Day – School Closed October 13 Professional Learning Day (No School for Students) November 11 Veterans Day – School Closed November 26-28 Thanksgiving Break – School Closed December 1 School Resumes December 19-Jan 5 Christmas Break – School Closed January 6 School Resumes January 19 Martin Luther King Jr. Day - School Closed February 16 Professional Learning Day (No School for Students) April 2-6 Spring Break – School Closed April 7 School Resumes May 12 Election Day – School Closed May 19 John Marshall High School Graduation May 21 Cameron High School Graduation May 22 Last Day for Students Cancellation Make-up Schedule (dates become non-instructional days if not needed) After 5 snow days and 5 remote learning snow days, the following days will be used for in-person instruction. 1. Students, in grades 1st through 12th, return to school in Marshall County on Tuesday, August 19 for the start of the 2025 – 2026 academic year.

Kindergarten orientation takes place on Tuesday, August 20. Parents will be notified about their child’s orientation time and class schedule.

Parents with a student attending WV Universal Pre-K will be contacted about orientation, which takes place on Friday, August 22 and Monday August 25. Parents will find out about their child’s first day of Pre-K instruction during the orientation.
